Can you explain how you used PayPal multi-order shipping to print the label?  I thought you could only use PayPal if the customer paid with PayPal.

I don't use the multiple order shipping tool. It confuses me! I use this... https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ship-now and nope, you can print any labels for shipping using this even if they don't pay with paypal.

The Paypal multi-order shipping tool has a function to import a cvs file. I keep a file on my desktop and just manually put in non-paypal orders. These are usually just occasional orders where a customer has called me directly with a credit card or sent a check. I still have to manually enter the data into the cvs file before importing it into the paypal tool. If bisi or google would let you export the order data, then it could be easily imported as is into paypal without manual entry. Occasional manual entry is fine, but when business picks up from the google checkout, I definitely don't want to be entering multiple orders every day.

It really frustrates me that bisi doesn't have any order data export. All the bookkeeping has to be manually entered also. That is the one thing that is keeping me from promoting my stores via advertising and such. (all I do now is the ebay package inserts) Bisi is great for lower volume stores but I'm not sure that it's the place for serious sales. I wish it was.

Thank you to everyone who has given their input. I have decided to give Google Checkout a try and see how it goes. I now have it added to my store as another payment option.

Anyone want to buy something so I can see how it works?

Anyone had any hold on their $$ (like Paypal is supposed to be doing, though I have never had happen)?

I was signing up one of my new clients and I saw that there is a hold on payments received over XXX amount.  (like if you make over $500.00 in a month, they hold the amount over $500.00 until the next month).  I havent really researched the terms, but since my guy sells higher end stuff we opted for Paypal for now.

To answer the opening question: I have been accepting both PayPal and Google Checkout on my website for over a year now, and I can say that to me, Google Checkout appears to be much more reliable than PayPal ever has been. I did not have a single reversed payment, or my funds being held! Transfer to my bank account is automated, smooth, I do not have to log in and initiate it through extra steps, like I have to with PayPal.

Also, buyers who first clicked on PayPal payment option, often report back that PayPal does not recognize them as legitimate PayPal users, it lets them jump through hoops (asking them to register again) or PayPal declares their credit card invalid. I had several buyers email me in despair about this. All this, without anything being wrong with their address or credit card! Same buyers can pay with Google Checkout without any hassle.

I also like the feature that using Google Adwords , I get a chunk off my Google Checkout fees.

The problems: very minor, and in the works to be improved. Google has a very stubborn insistence on their checkout logo being one way: and it has to be placed at the bottom of checkout options, which is weird, because not all buyers scroll down to check the payment options, and PayPal being on the top of my checkout page, PayPal still gets more business than the much better Google Checkout. I believe google's higher ups should reconsider some of their restrictions for the same.

Other than this, I am a very happy customer of google's, and would not mind taking PayPal completely off one day as a payment option.

I use paypal because I use paypal shipping to print multi-shipping labels too. To include google checkout may just add extra work in shipping process.
