I would like to see the ability to deactivate a product. Meaning some products are seasonal or limited runs. It would be nice to deactivate a product when it is not available or seasonal. Then reactivate it when the product is available again.

Enjoy -

Thats a great feature request.  I have found that to be very useful in the past.

Great idea and I'd love to have that option for categories as well -- for example, when I've run out of items for a certain category, it would allow me to hide the category rather than delete it and recreate it later.

You can now active/disable single products from the edit product page. This will remove the item from your store front. The product will still be visible from Google Product search or if somebody has a link to it. We'll work on disabling it from the Google Base results as well.
