Well.... it must be something in the way that you're saving your file. I made the changes to the file you posted here and it uploaded just fine to my store. Of course, I'll delete it because I really don't have any cookbooks for sale. You might check to make sure that the spreadsheet hasn't added a bunch of extra quotes (") to your text file. I have that problem sometimes.

I think I know what's wrong. For me, when creating the info on my Excel spreadsheet and then saving it as a tab-delimited file, I was not able to upload. But when I created my listing using Microsoft Works spreadsheet and then saving it as a "text & tab" file, I was able to upload.
Guess I'll be using Microsoft Works spreadsheet instead.
Thanks for all your help.

I've seldom been able to get a file that I originated in Excel to upload. I learned about a suite of office programs here in the bisi forums called OpenOffice. It's free to download and it will open all Microsoft docs. I've had better success with it and with another free program called NoteTab Light than I've had with Microsoft stuff. Also, I've found it really helps to copy the columns and rows from the spreadsheet and paste them into the text editor rather than just using "save as" from the spreadsheet.
