I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it is making me a bit nuts! Okay - I'm using Firefox for starters. But I don't know that it work any different in any other browser, so here goes . . .

When I go to a certain category in my listings by searching for it and a keyword, it pulls up all this stuff. I want to edit all of them. So I edit the first item and save it, but when I go to back up a couple of screens to that original listing, it just doesn't happen. Normally, my screens are saved so I can back up one at a time, or more if I know exactly where I'm headed. But it isn't working here, and it is kind of time-consuming, because I have a bunch of stuff in that same category to edit, and I have to select the subcategory and then type in the keyword every time to get the next one.

Is this something I'm doing wrong, or am I the only person on earth that uses that funny green arrow up top there to back up to something I just looked at and need again?

Hey I just learned a new trick today from reading anther post here. If you pull up the category you want to edit and then "drag" the edit pencil (the pencil doesn't actually move) from one time up to a blank space on your Firefox tab bar, it will open the link in a new tab. Edit that item, close the tab and your category tab is still open. Drag the next item up there, etc. This greatly facilitates category editing! This is probably one of those "duh" things that everybody in the world knew how to do except me but I was just glad to learn it.

Well, I will sure give that a try, but I still think this is a pain in the butt! Everywhere else you go on the net, you click the back button or hold down the cursor, it gets you a whole list of where you've been for the last 20 or so pages. Force of habit makes me want to do things that way, and it just doesn't work here!

Jubilee - I'll have to try out your tip - I too find trying to edit in the same category a problem.  Thanks for sharing

I found that by using another tab didn't work for me with IE7...it would open and I would edit it, but then it wouldn't save. However, when I opened it in a new window (rather than a new tab), then it worked. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else had problems trying to edit in a new tab too. For those who don't know, to edit in a new window, right click the pencil icon and select "open in new window". (I've known about this ability for ages now and can't believe I'd forgotten about it until yesterday! Sure reduces a few steps!)
