| Our town, and other towns near by were flooded. We didn't get much water in our house, but neighbors near by have huge messes to clean up. There was one fatality. I wanted to share some pictures. Oh my that is awful. Those of us here in East Texas waited all day for the storms to hit but they never did. High winds is about all we got and it cost me a brand new canopy. I knew yesterday morning that all the folks north of us were getting the worst end of it. From what I hear, it got pretty rough up around the Dallas area.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone dealing with the aftermath of that storm.

Bless your hearts!!! We got about 10 inches of rain here in Western KY in the last 24 hours but the flooding was nothing like you had. Three of my friends called telling me they had now had kiddie pools in their basements. I always complain that we don't have a basement...I'm reconsidering.

Three of my friends called telling me they had now had kiddie pools in their basements. I always complain that we don't have a basement...I'm reconsidering. We don't have a basement, but everyone else in the neighborhood does. Thats why they have a mess and we don't. Most of the flooding was in the downtown area. There were other towns that got it much worse.

Oh yuk. That is what my neighborhood looked like last summer. I am surrounded on three sides by the river snaking around. Took pics of what I was able to get to.

The other side of the river was worse but was not possible for me to get to. On photo called south end creek that is actually a creek over 6 feet deep and usually a trickle. Over 10 feet wide empties into the river itself.
