I have a problem that I don't think can be solved, but I thought I'd ask Tomas or anyone else who might know.

My products have a set price, and then there is a S&H charge (flat rate of $6.95 for entire order). I need to charge sales tax on the product AND the S&H, but it only calculates tax on the product amount. Can it somehow calculate the tax on product and S&H combined? I don't want to add $6.95 to the price of the product because my price would show up higher on searches and it's not $6.95 per product, just per order.. As it is now, I'm losing on every order because of the tax shortage, not to mention the PayPal/Google Checkout fees. But it adds up. Like I said, I don't think there is a solution and I may just have to eat the loss each time, but thought I'd ask.

I am unable to reproduce this on my account. I tried on your account but you have 0% tax set up for all 50 states.

Wow, I know I entered all those tax rates. They are gone. I just tried entering them again and it won't save. Also there is an asterisk beside many of the state tax rate boxes. What does that mean? I'm glad now that I haven't had a sale or I would have lost even more money! What am I doing wrong that it's not saving my entries?

What format are you entering your sales tax?

I wasn't carrying the numbers to two decimal points. It's working now. (Although I did have one state that I needed to carry it to 3 decimal points, but I just rounded up). Did you add a check-box at the top for calculating tax on shipping charges, or was that there before? I don't remember seeing it, but it was checked. Anyway, I think it's OK now. Thank you, Tomas.
