| I'm a small time seller and have only listed 30 items so far as I don't do bulk listers. As items end on eBay (my store there will close 3/31) - I move some of the collectibles here - adding about 10-15 items per week - goal of 100 items by May. After the fiasco at eBay, I am reluctant to put all my efforts into one site. If bisi grows and I do well here, I will increase my inventory and make this my main focus.

I keep saying that....moving away from ebay. Over the past year, counting this site this week, I have added 3 other sites with over 1,000 items on each site, some different than the ones on ebay.
Still ebay is my top seller, next is sales through emails (yea...no fees) and then other sites.
I have found the biggest problem is generating the same traffic that I get on ebay.
I agree not to put all of your eggs in one basket. My newest venture is mini sites and getting away from retail as my main income. Those mini sites are on autopilot once they are set up, no customer complaints, shipping problems, inventory etc.
Good Luck in your expansion.

It is a one page website, that talks just about 1 product. Some of these have affiliate sites where you click the embedded link and it will take you to that companies website.
My biggest earner are sites that talk about one product and then through the code on the site it will pull ebay auctions for that product based on my parameters. So each day there is content changes. With people clicking on those auctions ebay will pay me IF that person either wins that auction or buys anywhere on ebay....since they went to ebay from my site.
It would take too long to explain it all here on a forum, it has taken me almost 2 yrs of studying and then meeting the right people that helped me get started.
If I could ever get away from retail sites and adding inventory I would strictly work on new mini sites.
If you would like more information, send me an email or pm and I can send you the information you would need to get started.
