Hi guys,

I was just wondering if anyone knows about where to get the best shipping insurance for bisi stores.

I use Inkfrog, (love them!)and I guess I'm spoiled with their amazing insurance rates offered for eBay items sold.

Thanks for any tips.

Beverly

As you stated we cant beat inkfrog's deal with our eBay sales. $.55 domestic and $.75 international is a great deal

We use stamps.com for all of our postage on our websites and eBay. we insure our domestic packages through them also although we pay 3 times more for it.

Some have posted here before on different options although I cant recall the names of any. We have asked BISI to offer insurance on our sales and I think there is something coming. As far as when who knows.

Maybe others will come along with some suggestions.

you can use shipsurance for your BISI sales, just contact shipsurance through their website. I insure my stuff through them, especially non replaceable type items like hemi carb cores where they're date coded, original to the car and cannot be replaced.

Thanks for your information Jeff. Here's for "wishing and hoping". Sounds like you are an Inkfrog person, is that accurate?

And for toobusyforswapmeets, thanks for the information. How are the prices?

I get individual quotes on certain items because of their rarity and inability to be replaced. If we sell a set of carbs for $500 USPS, etc. will only allow us to insure them for their purchase value....the problem starts there....those carbs are not manufactured any longer, cannot be replaced, were original to the owner's car...blah blah blah so we'll take each carb, say in a six pack set up, and ship individually insuring each for $1500 and there's been no problem in getting reasonable quotes for coverage, and never had a claim...but you can't take a chance not insuring just because something's never been lost, damaged or undelivered in the past?

Yes, We use Inkfrog to run our eBay operation. Most of there programs are very user friendly and I really like using them compared to when I was with Auctiva. Also importing listings to BISI is a snap.

I have a similar problem as "toobusyforswapmeets". (Sorry, somehow when I copy your name with the underscore, my computer will not let me post???).

I sell a variety of items, and many are no longer available. So insuring with the USPS does not cover the real value, but you're right, you still have to do it. Insurance is for the seller.

I hope that Jeff is correct that bisi is going to "build a bridge" for us to be able to get insurance directly via the store site with someone like shipsurance.
