I went through Jennifer's post about google. I went in and looked and this is what I found and can't seem to fix. This is from www.tchp07.com (which I have linked to bisi)
~~ Site not indexed. ( www.tchp07.com is verified)
~~Site map----General HTTP error: HTTP 400 error (Bad request)
We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit.
HTTP Error: 400
Problem detected on: Nov 4, 2009
If I wanted to verify http://thecandlehutplus.mybisi.com/ how do I verify it? I can't find the place to put the meta tag, and I don't know how to upload the html file. (I have the free bisi account)

Go to the Marketing Tab, click on SEO and scroll down. You will see the place to put your meta tag.

I did that and it still says We weren't able to verify your site: http://thecandlehutplus.mybisi.com/
this is what it says from the meta tag verification page ---Copy the meta tag below, and paste it into your site's home page. It should go in the section, before the first section.

I cannot rememer for sure, but I THINK its that you cannot have a site map for a url which is just forwarding to another url. So, right, you have to do all of this for either http://thecandlehutplus.mybisi.com/ - OR - just follow the steps to have BISI host your url, which is now available for all accounts, I think. (hmmmmm... maybe Im wrong on that)

maybe google changed their verification system, but I have tried several ways with no success. I can't verify it, or get a sitemap... so I don't know what to do now....

You have an extra set of quotes around the content. Take the quotes out.

thanks, I wish that was the case, my screen only shows 1 set of quotes. I re did it agan just to make sure and still nothing. this is what I have

Try taking out the one set of quotes that you see. I believe bisi is automatically adding a set of quotes there so you are getting a double set of quotes in the final code.

The one you have in there now doesn't have the = on the end. The code for my site does. I think this should be the correct code for you:

Maybe it takes some time for it to update? I can't remember.
