Is it possible to easily remove thie right hand navigation bar from a theme?

Those kind of changes require a customized template.  There are members of this forum who offer this service, you can Google BISI Templates to find them, or you can check out the Custom Template portion of these forums if you want to try to do it yourself.

(Sorry, I didn't want to name any of the businesses who sell the templates because I was afraid I would forget someone.   Please let the poster know if you offer this service).

I also know some of you have posted instructions on creating custom templates, so it would be great if you could provide the links.
