I just moved two items to my BISI store from my eCrater store, a porcelain Madonna statue or figurine and a miniature Wagner toby mug.  This was not 10 minutes ago.  I am baffled as to why I have 23 item views on one item and 21 on another--and my page views count showing in my dashboard is still what it was earlier today, 10 page hits.  How is that possible?  I did add the Twitter thing today, could that be it?  I don't mean to be unappreciative, but I think those numbers are inaccurate, a little bit deceptive even.

I don't pay attention to the item views. Twitter kicks them up, or something. I use Site Meter and Google Analytics. They show me a lot about the data in different ways.

When I Twitter an item, the item views go crazy.  I don't know how it works, but I discount the views.  I use StatCounter and Google Analytics.

Yep, anything I allow to be Twittered shows right around 24 views within the first minutes. Items I list right after that (and uncheck the twitter box) show 0 views.

I thought it was random people just clicking the links in WHATEVER new twitter posts went up. BUT, Ive created shortened urls using Bit.ly to other pages, and put those in tweets. The stats for those urls show 7 views MAX.

Weird, but not worth worrying about z.

Thanks, y'all.  Not really worried about it per se--just thought it was weird.

I'm more worried about getting that first sale.
