How about yours? Mine seem to group together- Its either none or multiple in a 2 day period. I'm not complaining, it just seems a little strange.

Sales have been really strange in all my stores lately. It's either feast or famine...I prefer feast!

Yes, that's retail! You can't assume that because you got a sale today, you'll get one tomorrow.

Sure does add to the excitement...

Yes, it really is hard to predict isn't it ?
All we can do is to be ready for when they do come and then send our business card... with each order to remind them where they bought their item and tell them of any customer loyalty program that we have going

Friday's are usually my slowest day of the week but last Friday I had my best 24 hours ever. Go figure....

Yep.

Over the years, people have proposed theories of ways eBay may have been manipulating things, resulting in the spurts. But... some of those same people have had to admit ---- it happens just the same on their own websites.

Id never been into thinking eBay manipulated things, but I did think it had something to do with eBay somehow. But --- here I am, a year into my own site, with the very same fits and starts. Sometimes, I can find something to attribute them to, but usually I cannot...

Congrats on the high 24 hours, Gayla!

Fridays have always been slow days for me as well but this last Friday was insane! Every time I sat down at the computer there was another order. Even though they were from Ebay mostly, still was strange. I love it though!

I don't think online sales are much different than in-person sales. My full-time job is the same way. I sell all types of flooring and we may have 1 customer today and tomorrow be so busy we can't sit down.

Unless you are a huge retail chain or at least selling a necessity product, you can't bank on consistent sales. You just gotta enjoy the good times and tough out the bad!

Yep, same for me.  Hoping for improvement now that we are past the generally slower summer months.
