| Just a quick question about .csv file imports if y'all don't mind. I have the sample file downloaded to my PC and I'm filling stuff in. I was wondering, if there are columns I don't particularly use do I have to fill them out with something or can I just leave the column blank?

| Just an update, I did get my .csv import to work--thanks Tomas! And it does appear that there are quite a few columns that are required, even if it's just the header. But that's OK, when I got error messages the messages were very clear as to where I needed to work on my spreadsheet. Just be sure to download the sample spreadsheet and work with that, pay attention to the sample data, it pretty much walks you through the whole process. Success is a wonderful thing!

I tried to upload the sample csv file and the error message told me that all my columns were missing. I didn't change anything except for the category ID which I changed to one of my own categories. This is stretching my brain way too much. If the data in the sample file won't import, it doesn't give me any motivation to try to develop my own file based on that data. I don't have time to waste. There really must be SOMETHING here that I'm just not getting....

Gayla let me dig my file back out and get back to you to try and help. And can you get print screens or screenshots of the error message(s)?
