As far as putting the shipping costs on each products' page, I have done that and I think I will just add in a little something extra if the shipping & handling is off by more than a dollar or two.

I have to have it set high enough to cover my expenses (shipping + envelope + bubble wrap + tape...), but if someone orders several of my items - there may be a little overpayment and I don't want my customers to feel taken advantage of.

Say someone orders 10 bars of my handmade goat milk soaps, some of my lip balms, and some of my very dry skin balm.   The shipping being charged may be over by $3 or $4.   In a case like this, I would ask the customer if they would like to try another kind of soap (a small bar) or maybe a lip balm, bath tea or a car sachet... .

This way they get their money's worth and they get to try another of my products that they might not haave tried any other way.

Why not throw in a "sampler" package so they can be lured back to buy more! :p

I could do a bunch of different soaps - maybe 12 for a soap of the month type club - but all at once.

OR

Make up a sets of maybe a soap, a lip balm or 2, a bath tea and a sachet too... .

Ooooooooooooh, the ideas are flowing now

Do you have an upgraded store? If so, you could put up a custom page with a monthly drawing for a free product. (You can get a free form at jotform) Customers would have to visit your store once a month to register for the freebie. This is on my "to do" list for my own store. I have inventory that I need to move and I thought I'd move it this way and maybe get some extra traffic out of it.
