Dear BISI Customers,
Yesterday during the day, we immediately got paged by one of the server clusters because there was a failure. In order to isolate the issue, determine the cause, and fix everything, we temporarily took the entire system down.
We were quickly able to find the issue. One of the main web server clusters was having some hardware failures and was causing many of our other clusters to hang as well. By the evening, we had fixed the weak cluster and got the site back up. We also added some additional clusters as well as separated many aspects of the site across separate systems so that any incidents in the future can be isolated quicker and will not affect the entire site.
Our forums were affected for a longer duration due to the fact that we moved to new server infrastructure (x64) which was not supported on our current version. We were able to obtain updated forum code from the 3rd party developer to restore it on the new system.
We apologize for this unforeseen issue and we want to assure all BISI customers that we are taking every step to ensure BISI's uptime and reliability. We take our network very seriously, and will be continually upgrading our systems to ensure to keep up with our growth and to ensure maximum uptime for our customers.
If you have any questions, please contact us by opening a support ticket.
