Ok... so I just now noticed this. Our custom pages do not show in the sitemap.xml file. These informational pages we create are super important for SEO of our stores. So why are they not in there? Was it just an over site??? I hope! Cool

Ugh! Another SEO glitch. I think 90% still don't know that the SEO info for their custom pages doesn't show up on the meta tags.

Why don't they check this stuff out. Should've been checked out when they created the custom page templates.

It seems really important to me for the custom pages to show up in the site map. What's the point of creating those content rich pages if google's not reading them regularly?

I am bumping this back up as this is REALLY bugging me and SUPER important to ALL of us. Most do not have even 20 custom pages, I do not see this being a big problem. There are many that do not even use custom pages.

I just wanted to say that I still don't see the custom pages in the sitemap, but I googled my url and seen a bunch of my pages indexed, but the seo is the info that I have plugged in for my entire store and not the stuff I have in the seo tab of my custom pages.

None of the bisi standard templates have the correct code to display your custom page SEO entries ( At least, they didn't last time I checked.) But you can add it to a custom template....

IN THE <HEAD> OF YOUR TEMPLATE REPLACE THIS:

#if($Store.MetaCustomValue != "")
<meta name="$Store.MetaCustomName" content="$Store.MetaCustomValue" />
#end
#if($Store.MetaDescriptionText != "")
<meta name="description" content="$Store.MetaDescriptionText" />
