Hi Everybody
I'm a newbie and have a question about the home page and the different browsers.... I did put a support ticket in but haven't heard back yet as to what to do.

Below I've copied and pasted my support ticket so that somebody out there might shed light on this for me:

I was wondering if you can tell me what might be going on with my site. I started by putting text on my home page but didn't like how there wasn't very many fonts to choose from and even when I picked a font, it was squishing up all of the words when I previewed the page. So what I did was created what I wanted in photoshop, saved it for web as a jpeg and then put it on the page instead so that essentially I had text there but it was in the font that I liked and saved and viewed as a photo. So it looks great now, the only problem is that when I go to my site from my browser I can see it no problem but when my son goes to view it in his browsers there is nothing there but my categories. Is there something that I have to do to enable it in various browsers? I'm running Safari (which worked fine), my son tried it in Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome which none of them worked.

Thanks in advance to everybody, I hope somebody out there can help (o:

Are you sure that the link is to the uploaded image? You may still be linking to the one on your computer, so your computer would be the only one that can see it.

Oh Geez, I hear "complicated" All I did was go to "Appearance" then "Page Text" then I copied and pasted the actual jpg image to the text box. I didn't link anything or upload the image because there it was, on the screen in front of me and after I saved it I could preview it online but only in the one browser.

When you want to add an image to your page text box,
you first need to host the image somewhere, (if you have an upgraded account, you can host it at BISI),
if not try Photobucket, or a similar site.

Then when inserting the image, do as such
img src="http://www.YOURIMAGEHERE.com/IMAGE123.jpg"

Do this adding a < and > immediately before the img and following the " at the end.

If you are putting this in as a JPG then you would have to use HTML. You have to click over to it using the little icon at the bottom of the box that looks like this <>
If you are doing that wouldn't you be better off using html for the text and then choosing whatever text you would like? Just a thought.

Omg Sweet Boutique! Thank you sooo much, I did it!!!
Okay so I've just realized that I need to learn html then right? I thought I could just copy and paste, drag and drop etc. How can you tell I'm a mac lover... everything is drag and drop for me.
Thank you very much, you just made my frustration all worth it! Going to buy a book on html tonight!
Cheers
