When I try to use the "shop" page to look up an item, it is not possible to type in the search box. All I get is the finger. Can't believe I said that...

Anyway, it still will not let me type a word into the search box. I'll go dump my cookies and see if that helps.

That usually means something on the page isn't done loading. Do you get on the rest of the page, or just when you click in the text box?

I don't get it on the page itself, but it pops up when I attempt to click and type in a word, and it comes up normally to select a tab or item on the index.

I am not able to reproduce this. That's very strange, the search box works fine here and so does the button. I have tested on IE, FireFox and Safari both on a PC and mac.

Tomas, thanks for checking it for me. I have found that I can navigate and use the search box using the keyboard, but not using a mouse. Apparently it is a problem with my system, not yours. Sorry!
