I closed my eBay store on 4/17/08.  Noticed the other day that my 100% feedback is now a 99.4% because of 1 neutral about 6 months ago.  I had been a little tempted to go back but NO WAY now.

BTW, I've had two sales here - one on May 4th and the other one today, May 22nd

I'm hopeful that things will pick up soon.  I'm going to continue to add more items (145 so far with more than 1,000 to go).   They won't sell if they're not listed, right?!

Here's hoping all of our sales will explode!!

I just opened my store here and still have alot more to list, so I can't really comment about the sales yet.  But as far as ebay, my sales dropped ALOT in June.  I heard it is a slow month for selling especially clothing, so I was not too discouraged.  I've decied to put all my new with tags inventory in my bisi store and keep all new without tags and gently used items in ebay.  I will eventually close my ebay store and just auction that stuff off.

I just don't hold enough inventory to keep holding an ebay store, so someone had mentioned bisi and I love it so far.  Very easy to work with and I love FREE!  I'm just hoping I get enough exposure.  With ebay, if I did a search on any of my things in google, it would come up.  I had ebay on google base as well.  So far, I did searches for items from my bisi store, but I'm not coming up, so I'm not sure why that's happening.  I just want to finish transfering everything over to bisi before I tackle any marketing.

hint:  One thing I used to do is go to other websites that have blogs that are children related and comment on whatever they were about and in my signature put my website.  I figured it wouldnt hurt.

I am opening a store here today.  I am a Silver Powerseller on Ebay and have been for 8 years.  I still have my Ebay store but am less than thrilled about Ebays new practices and rules.  It is now a no win situation for the sellers.  I am having more non-paying bidders than ever before, since I can't leave them a negative for non-payment, and meanwhile nobody knows that they are deadbeats because they have positive feedback.  Know what I mean?  Ridiculous.  I sell high-end designer clothing for up to 80% off retail and I specialize in swimsuits.  It will take me a while to move inventory here but I will get it done.  I don't guess there is an easy way. LOL.  Good Luck to all of us here. Jen

P.S.  If you have the free store, do you get an e-mail if something sells, or do you just have to log in here to see?

I was wondering the same thing about, how you find out if you get a sale.  I have basic store as well.

Still waiting for a reply on that Jacki.  I still have not sold anything, so I don't have an answer.  Nice to meet you! Jen

I have two accounts one paying and one not. I get emails on both but someone said only paid accounts get emails and suggested that since I pay for one I get emails on both? Who knows.

Ok, I had my first sale today, and YES you do get an email, even for the free store. You only get it when the person actually makes the payment. I had someone checkout but never pay and it shows on your dashboard. I waited a few days and deleted the order because I didnt want them out of inventory for someone just sitting on it deciding wether to pay or not. I dont have layaway LOL.
Anyway, I'm excited for my first REAL sale today, so yes you do get an email for free stores

A friend of ours came across BISI and suggested we use it. We were really just making it with our other cart site, Big Cartel,
but were limited to 100 products, had no sort of search submission and didn't have the extensive dashboard that we have here.
There is so much more here at BISI than the other places we have tried in the past.

I was really surprised. The first day I started putting products up, just a few accessories, and after about 25 or so, I went to bed.
I woke up the next morning with two orders. Neither from previous customers. I was sold.

BISI has really done wonders for us! We still do our usual marketing, but I would have to say about 40% of our sales are driven from search engines now, and that's wonderful! Our usual marketing is Myspace, Facebook and Facebook ads, Google Ad-Words, our base website (SweetBoutique7.com), email campaigns and links on other sites.

We've been pretty consistent with sales, and I'm very happy. This isn't a hobby for us, so all this exposure has really changed what we've been able to do as a business.
