Red Wings Vs Blue Jackets?
Should be the Red Wings in 5 games.

Blues Vs Canucks?
A tougher series. Of course I have to
give it to the Blues. Hoping for only 6
games.

(Now let's see how bad I can do with the rest.)
Sharks Vs Ducks?
Sharks in 6.

Blackhawks Vs Flames.
Blackhawks in 5.

(I really don't follow the East, but here goes.)
Bruins Vs Canadiens?
Bruins in 6.

Capitals Vs Rangers?
Capitals in 6.

Devils Vs Hurricanes?
Hurricanes in 7. (Hard to vote against Brodeur though.)

Penguins Vs Flyers?
Penguins in 5.

Am I off my rocker?
(Anyone here sell rockers?)
Let me know.
Mike

Ok, how about round 2 then..

I'm excited!! Gettin all stocked up for Thursday night. (root beer & snacks)

I just realized the tickets I got were for game 4 home game. That means game 7. As much as I'd like to go, I don't want it to go to game 7.

Sorry to see the Blues out of it. I'd have liked to see them get further in the playoffs. They deserved it with the great regular season stretch.

I smell a sweep up coming for the wings they way they are dominating the Blue Jackets.

Here's the highlight of last nights game:

Brad Stuart laid a brutal (clean) hit on RJ Umberger.

Umberger, one of my new favorite names for a player.

Of course the Blues are out way to fast for me.
I would have to say that the lack of playoff experience
made a big difference.
The Blues looked pretty good in the last game, just couldn't
"put the biscuit in the basket" often enough in their series.
1 for 24 on the Power Play for the series won't cut it either.
Luongo and the Sedin brothers looked great in all 4 games.
I will try to post round 2 matchups in a few days.
Would like to at least see how bad I did in round 1.
(Already 0 for 1.)
I haven't been able to catch the Wings games.
Looks like Osgood is holding it together.
Should be able to see some in the next few weeks.
Mike

Round 1,
West:
Detroit over the Blue Jackets in 4. (Correct Team)
Canucks over the Blues in 4. (Missed it Totally)
Ducks over the Sharks in 6. (Missed it Totally)
Blackhawks over the Flames in 6. (Correct Team)

East:
Bruins over the Canadiens in 4. (Correct Team)
Capitals over the Rangers in 7. (Correct Team)
Hurricanes over the Devils in 7. (Correct Team and number of games)
Penguins over the Flyers in 6. (Correct Team)

Round 2,
West:
Red Wings Vs Ducks?
Red Wings in 5.
They had better not let this go very deep.

Canucks Vs Blackhawks?
Canucks in 6.
I would rather see the Blackhawks win it though.

East:
Bruins Vs Hurricanes?
Bruins in 5.
If it goes to 7 games, Hurricanes win it.

Capitals Vs Penguins?
Great television, and hoping for 7 games.
Penguins if I have to pick a winning team.

(Additional prediction per above post.
The Blue Jackets will win at least one of their next 5 games.)

No rockers have been offered yet.
Is 6 out of 8 a good enough score for the first round?
We'll see how bad my 2nd round predictions go.
Mike.

Round 2,
West:
Red Wings Vs Ducks? Red Wings in 5. (Correct Team / 7 Games.)

Canucks Vs Blackhawks? Canucks in 6. (Wrong Team / 7 Games.)
I would rather see the Blackhawks win it though.

East:
Bruins Vs Hurricanes? Bruins in 5. (See Below.)
If it goes to 7 games, Hurricanes win it. (Correct Team and Number of Games. )

Capitals Vs Penguins? (Correct Team and number of games. )
Great television, and hoping for 7 games.
Penguins if I have to pick a winning team.

3 for 4, with my preferred team for the fourth.

Round 3
Red Wings VS Ducks. (EDITED: Should Be Blackhawks.)
Hopefully another good series. I am still saying Goaltending is the key.
If Osgood is strong, then don't sweat it Tomas.
If not and the Blackhawks don't get intimidated, then start sweating.
Red Wings in 6.

Penguins VS Hurricanes
Same as above, good series, Goaltending might be the key.
The Penguins are the stronger team, the Hurricanes have the stronger
Goaltender.
One player does not make a winning team, at least in this series.
Penguins in 5.

Still not ready to predict a Stanley Cup Champion yet.
I like the Western Division Team over the Hurricanes,
but the Penguins could win it all.
Let's see what happens in this round.

Regarding above post:
(Additional prediction per above post.
The Blue Jackets will win at least one of their next 5 games.)

Should be "regular season games". Preseason does not count.

Mike.

Welcome, and join in whenever you want.
Being a Blues fan, I respect the Wings for the way
they play the game. As has been posted here before,
they are our second favorite team to watch. Most of
the time, it seems like they have an extra player on the ice.
Our favorite games to watch are the Blues VS the Red Wings
or Blackhawks, so the Wings VS Blackhawks series will be fun
to watch.
The rooting for the underdog side of me wants to see the
Blackhawks win The Cup this year. Their organization has been
through some rough years, as have the Blues. It is great to see
them seriously contending.
Mike.
