If i open an Ebay store, all of a sudden everything is found on Google shopping
and on Google web. All you have to do is open an Ebay store and you get much better google results.
Why can't it be that way for us with mybisi...?

Google Base Store Connector Update

Wednesday, April 8, 2009 | 10:46 AM

Hello eBay sellers,

Thank you for your participation in Google Product Search. We've been listening to your feedback and also examining the channels available to help eBay merchants include their products in Google Base.
Having said that, eBay currently sends eBay items directly to Google on a regular basis. This saves you time and effort since eBay will now be automatically doing this work for you.

It is. ALL you have to do is fill in the info on the Google Base tab in Settings.... General Settings - do that ONCE, and thats it.

That gets your items into Google SHOPPING. Most of this thread is about having your items show up within the search results when someone does a search on google. TOTALLY different thing.

I have Google base set up in settings....but it doesn't work.

Do a search on Google web or shopping for :

"Moto Guzzi 2008 Griso 8V Breva Classic Norge Mirrors"

You do not find it in shopping or my buyitsellit store.

It's been over a month. The Google base thing isn't working for me.

Any ideas?

Thank you....

Search the forums for other threads on this topic... you need the url to match in your Google Base account settings page with the settings in your BISI account... or there could be something else.

TRUST ME, its not all fixed up and taken care of you through ebay either..... you gotta set things up correctly (I understand it can be hard to figure whats not set right - but that will happen with ebay too)

As far as showing within google search - that is a totally different thing.... and ebay listings do not just "automatically show in the first page of google search". SOME show there, sure, others do not.

Jennifer,

Thanks for the info - I'm a "newbie". And I just did this. However, I also tried to go a step further and tried to set up a DATA FEED and got completely lost. It sounds like a great way to get more traffic. I have no idea how to go about doing that. It would not accept a url with the sitemap xml.

Maybe you can address this the next time you are on? Or someone else can help?

How do we get a url from bisi that we can use to create a googlebase data feed.  In Ebay, you mus request one to be created for your account...it is not simply your store url.

Thank you!
