I have a "home" at MySpace but haven't done a stinkin' thing with it yet. I think I need to get on that, and maybe today I can take a look and see what I can do with it for starters.
For anyone who is interested in younger folks doing the old jazz classics, I'd love to introduce you to a long-time friend, Ryan DeHues, who sounds so much like Sinatra you wouldn't believe it! He won a contest a few years back that Pat Boone and Merv Griffin sponsored for "The World's Next Great Crooner." Has a recording out, and will be going to Italy to do some work soon. I don't have one. I thought about it a year or so ago and asked my son to set it up for me as I love the background on his (old weathered boards) but he never got around to it. So I guess I'll have to do it myself. I've always been a little leery of myspace as I've heard you can get all kinds of PC bugs from that place. Not sure how true this is but that's what's kept me from doing it so far. I don't have near the PC problems that most folks do as I'm overly cautious about the web sites I visit.

OK -
I just added one. But I don't have a clue as to what myspace is all about. Have a feeling there are a whole lot of people who hang out there and play all day. There seem to be a lot of games and play-pretties being passed around.
I suppose, if one collects a lot of myspace friends - each of whom has a lot of myspace friends - each of whom passes your name on, then your name gets around... but are these people interested in more than just playing games and passing around pictures?
I'm just asking . . . cause, like I said, I really don't have a clue.
In other words, is spending time on myspace likely to turn out to have been time well spent? Is it a productive activity?
