| Thank you Cheri ! It certainly was a shock as she always gets all of her check-ups AND gets them on time. She had a spot on one lung LAST YEAR that was on an xray she had to have to undergo gallbladder removal surgery. No one noticed it so it went for a whole year without treatment. The only reason it was noticed now is she had horrible pain in her back and went in to get that checked. Her family doctor sent her for a few tests and didn't like what he saw - so he sent her for a chest xray and got all of her old xrays and blood work. He could not believe that the hospital didn't see the bright white spot bigger than a dime on her lung. She has cancer in several places in her spine, in the breastbone, both lungs, a rib, and a spot on her liver. I want to talk to the hospital to work out a deal - NOT for greed, but to have them pay for what my Mom's insurance doesn't cover, for her medicine as she has no prescription coverage, and I want them to throw in an extra thousand or two to cover odd and end expenses and this would allow them to relax and not have to worry about anything except her getting better. If they don't agree, then I will sue them and take them to court for all I can get for her and my Dad. I don't think they will want a nasty court case and their hospital all over the news so I think they will do the right thing by my parents. Diana

I hope so there was no way they should have dropped the ball on that one and the fact that now it is in her bones because of their negligence is bad.

| I'm really sorry too about your Mom Diana. It sounds soooo sad. I can barely imagine what you're going thru. You girls are so awesome doing what you're doing with your products. You should both be very proud. You're doing a great thing for us. I wish you both the greatest success. I reviewed all of your posts on this topic and I was delighted to see the soaps will work for dogs and horses, both of which I have. That thought hadn't crossed my mind before I read that. And Diana, please tell your daughter Thanks about her comment about the horse in my logo. Finding the right one was a time intensive project for me. I appreciate hearing she likes it.

Will she eat cottage cheese? There is a protocol and a friend uses it on her mom. Her mom takes the chemo also. When her numbers start going back up she puts her mom back on the mixture. It is called the budwig diet.

| I have been making all natural lip balms, salves - body balms, perfume, detox teas and detox bath teas... for her and it has been helping her to feel better. I made these all natural products anyway, but when she got cancer again, I started MAKING her give up the chemical-filled junk and switch to my all natural products. She has done so much better since she switched. I have gotten her away from store-bought soaps and perfumes and most mainstream cosmetics because she uses mine and loves them ! Thank you to all for your kind thoughts for my Mom's health. We really appreciate all of you. Organically Yours, Diana

Hi Diana,
I was hoping that you could give me some advice. We will be moving into our cabin this spring, so far we will have electric, but no running water or plumbing. My parents live right up the road so we will go there for showers and whatever else we may need. I would like to have garden with my favorite veggies, and some herbs. I need to start small and would like to know which items are used most, I am not a good cook at all, unless it requires use of the microwave, so I need the basic info. Maybe you can recommend a good book to start with, remember KISS (keep it simple stupid) you know some light reading. I need to know how to use the herbs in my foods. It is scary to know that I will be 28 this spring and the only things I can whip up from scratch is assorted bakery items (thus the tight jeans) and lasagna. Any advice would be appreciated, after all I can't get any worse.
Jen

| Hello Jen, I have been dealing with a similar situation as far as my little house/shop goes too. My well pump went and while I was waiting for that to be fixed, my old oil furnace decided to be stubborn and not work AFTER I had spent my whole budget on fuel oil to 1/2 fill the oil tank for it. So, to make a long story short, I have had no running water and only 2 of those little oil-filled electric heaters that look like the old radiator heaters. They keep things from freezing and I LOVE them as a suppliment, but I froze all Winter and my hands are in a state of constant numbness from trying to do my work and them being exposed. I still had to keep up with making the products for my store and even amp up production as hubby just lost his job at the end of January. As for the gardening and cooking ideas, I will of course help you as much as I can. I am a from stratch cook like my Grandma was and I hardly ever use a recipe, but I did sit down and write some of my things down when I was teaching my oldest daughter and son a few things. I would cook and have them write as I went so they would have some recipes. I made a Squidoo lens a little while back that has some organic gardening information and a link to my main organic gardening page on my informational/educational website. This lens also has the link to my recipe and recipe tips Squidoo lens. I add to it whenever I get a chance. Here it is : http://www.squidoo.com/OrganicandNatural I have 12 or 13 Squidoo lens so look around to see what else might help you. If I get a free minute, I'll look to see what else I could give you as far as links or book titles... . Organically Yours, Diana
