Another option is to approach your local retailers as a "jobber

Thanks, that's a good idea.  Right now I have a full time job (that actually pays the bills, LOL) so I'm not looking to grow too much bigger until I have more time.  Of course, I'd like to have a few more sales... that would always be nice

And thanks for letting me use your little blurb about the overstock.  I hope I changed it enough.

Thanks for all your help...I really appreciate it.

Is it just the 2 of us here on the clothing forum?

IslandMountainApparel,

I have been reading your posts about inventory.  We are always looking for sources of inventory.  If you are interested in selling some bulk lots please let us know.  Also, we noticed on your about me page that you are located in Western NC, we actually live in Wilmington, NC.  Thanks.

Ashleigh

Hi Ashleigh,

I just got the green light to create a few bulk lots of Sharon Young, Gail Morgado & Ming Wang if you're interested in any of those lines.

There will probably be others in the future because ultimately we'd like to get our warehouse cleaned out in order to put our onlinesales & shipping/receiving offices in there.

I'm located in Highlands which is about 2 hours west of Asheville.

Dan

Do you have any way of sending a manifest and photos of what is in the lots?  We like to see and have a description of what we are getting.  Does your 100% guarantee apply to that stuff as well?  Thanks for your response.

I have been thinking about doing mannequin shots with this inventory and putting them on CD for the buyer to use if they want to. I really need to try to get at least half of cost for this stuff so I was going to try and "slick" them up for wholesale auction. This stuff is all First Quality with Manufacturer's hang tags.

When I get these things together I can send you a pull sheet which includes manufacturer's SKU, product name, cost, and retail on it along with the image CD. I'll also include the price we would be starting it at auction.

I really don't want these things back, that's why I've tried to dance around the return question in the past. If something was flagrantly wrong with the lot I'd consider it, but I usually go over each piece pretty good and eliminate anything I think might be questionable.

Do you know how many sales on Tomas' statistics have come from the clothing listings?  I replied to his post that he had put up regarding the site sales statistics but haven't heard from him on it.
