Tomas,

Where do I start?  Sellers need a more functional shipping tool.  I have played around with the domestic and international shipping for a while and have come to some conclusions.  First, is that I believe sellers want to be able to specify different prices for different regions.  I don't want to charge Canada the same international rate that I would charge say Brazil but I don't want to use calculated because I don't want to allow First Class International shipping to Brazil either.  This is mainly due to corruption within the country.  What ideas do you have to create something that allows buyers to specify the types of shipping within the carriers that they have chosen?  By this I mean that sellers would be able to chose what type of services that they use within USPS for example.  Look at how eBay is currently doing it for an example.  I am sure something better can be devised but for a quick implementation this may be something to use as a benchmark.  Thanks.

Ashleigh

Ashleigh, I for one, am glad that you asked this question as I've had the same problems and wondered if a better solution is not out there somewhere.

In the short time I've been here, I have seen more adjustments and features added! It's just great...well okay once I start getting some sales...

Anyway, I'm probably the opposite as I prefer to sell only within the USA.  I mention this on each product page and when listing I do not enter anything under international shipping so hopefully it will work well.

I believe I saw some announcement regarding international shipping changes so this may already been addressed.

I am brand new here.......and I am having lots of problems! First, I keep coming up with an error message when trying to list my first item...."Error Detected" but I have no idea what it is as there is nothing highlighted or different color. I too only want to ship within the US. Thought maybe the "Error Detected" message was because I was not putting anything in the international shipping cost place?! Needless to say, I am tired of trying and will work on it again tomorrow! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! OH - is there not a way to ship JUST within the US?

Hi, this is my first good look around the site. I registered today.

I think one solution to the shipping is to have 3 zones. USA, Canada, World.

I am in Canada. I need 3 different shipping zones. 2 is not enough. Airmail to Australia is way more than to Florida with Vancouver somewhere in between.

BTW instead of calling the shipping boxes Domestic and International perhaps they should be labeled USA and Canada.

I appreciate the opportunity to use this site!

I agree with qualityhobby. It would be nice to have 3 shipping options under 3 tabs....DOMESTIC - CANADIAN - INTERNATIONAL. For me, flat rate shipping to canada is cheaper than say the UK, but I have to charge international because the flat rate shipping only gives 2 options.

With that being said, most everything else here works for me...excellent site...two thumbs up. BC

To be able to efficiently ship worldwide, the separations would be very helpful. It would also be helpful to be able to assign the Alternate Shipping Carrier option to domestic and/or international independently. It will save my domestic customers to use it but it will COST my international customers quite a bit to switch to UPS for heavier orders.

Basically, domestic shipping and international shipping are two different animals. I'd love to use calculated for domestic and flat rate for international. I'm not looking for perfection... just something in the ballpark.
