| I'm a refugee, too. Wasn't on eBay all that long... but long enough to get started, sell a few things, and had gotten things organized and ready to open a store there. My target date for the store was going to be in Mid Feb . . . all the stuff that happened stopped me before I even got started selling in earnest! (Of course, I had been very earnestly spending on inventory...) Decided that was NO environment in which to start a new online business... WAY too much drama for this old gal! So, here I am - Getting a BuyItSellIt store ready to open, and hoping the entire decision to sell online wasn't a foolish one . . . Should be open in a few days... still getting everything set up - Then, the REAL work begins: Promotion! Hello to everyone. And Happy Thursday. Sheila

Will have to rearrange my top friends. Good idea didn't think of that. But once when my daughter somehow wasn't in my top friends she got a little perturbed lol... my 12 year old son wanted nothing to do with the cellars myspace. He is only in my personal. That one I keep closed and just have folks I know... my nieces & nephews... neighborhood kids... my sons friends and my friends kids. I am the mommy keeper of all myspace. I will juggle my top friends around until I get enough for another row. My top eight always stay. They come with me no matter where I go. When you have spare time see if you can find groups that might fit what your selling and join them. I have been doing myspace for a major record company for over 3 years... believe it or not it can be a very powerful promo tool.

Hello to all the ebay refugees. I've been selling on ebay for about 10 years now but I'm hoping that BISI will work out and become my new home for selling. Ebay is just changing way too much and not for the good. Not to mention it's getting to expensive to sell over there.

| Hey everyone, I closed my store and got out of ebay before the boycott. That is the best decision I ever made. I love it here and hope this will be the place everyone will move to. It is simple, like the looks of it and although I have only had a couple of sales I have made higher profits not having to pay listing, pictures and percentage of sales. I work less and make more. The only problem I have found here is that it seems like everyday there is a problem getting things listed...sometimes can't get logged on and sometimes it will not let me edit or list or upload pictures. Are any of you having this problem? I hope it is because so many are moving here that they are on overload. I was TMD5860 on ebay but changed my store name and changed the products that I sell as I was in the used book business on there. I only did ebay for a year as a learning experience but had already planned this before the boycott. While selling books I was researching for wholesalers and preparing a business plan. When I began with ebay I did well but toward the end even though sales were higher my profits were getting eaten alive. I also had to watch them carefully on their charges as many times my amount owed jumped up by incredible amounts without any reason...I got notice yesterday that I owed them a little over 5.00 this month...NO WAY...I had .14 left owing after the end of last months invoice and wondering how it jumped up without any listing since before that invoice came out. They are also suppose to refund you if you close your store so that means they owe me. I did a full page anouncement on my front page in my store for two days before closing and didn't get caught, kept expecting them to suspend me but it didn't happen. Hope all of you pulled your paypal records and used them to promote this site with mass emails.

| Hi everyone, I'm an Ebay refugee too. I went to WP first and thru friends I met there, I was directed here. I didn't know about WP's reputation before planting myself there, or I might not have. Nevertheless, I've been advised over and over again to spread yourself out. So that's what I'm doing and why I don't have so many listings yet. I'm dedicating my site here to one category. If sales move, I just might rethink that idea. I'm not very educated about promoting traffic on my own, but I'm learning. I'm sure it takes time for the crawlers (or whatever they're called) to find your site, because so far it's coming up as a big zero. I have no clue if I'm set up right for that, but time will tell I'm sure. Let's just say I'm praying. I'll continue to spread out, because the last thing I'll do is go back to the E. I'll stop selling online entirely before I do that. I had a store over there for a little over a year and reached my height in December then it all fell apart because of what they did. As mad as I am about it, I'm also glad. It was a no-brainer over there. Here and everywhere else requires skills that I've had to learn. Everybody seems to be reaching out to help and I'm very appreciative of that. So best of luck to everyone and glad to know you're here too.
