I saw the discussion in another thread and Tomas suggested it be moved here.

If it was, and I overlooked it, I apologize for the oversight.  but, I couldn't find it here and this is very important.  It would save a ton of time!

I totally agree!

IF the categories, shipping, weight, attributes all that type of stuff would be great!

NOT the image though because if yu are using the same image - you shouldn't be listing another product but using the variations instead.

Not so. As it is now, we can list a product in one store category. I need several in 2, possibly 3. I have my stuff sorted by type of lingerie: corsets, teddies, camisoles, etc.

Some of those are white which makes good bridal lingerie and I have a category for bridal lingerie.

Some of my stuff is less revealing and great for teens so I have a category "Great for Teens". Just because it would be good for teens does not mean I should not have it in the camisoles or babydolls category, does it?

So yes, copying the images too is a good idea. If you don't want them, simply delete them. When I copy a listing for another category, yes, it is the same listing, but I want it in another category so using variants does me no good b/c it will still only be in one category.

There already is a sell similar here. In administration at the end of the product you will see two what looks like pages - click that and it is a sell similar. You can also do it from the item itself in admin. Is that what you wanted? I don't think all the information just the title and description so I guess if you had exact similar ones you would want to use it. You could also put the number of items in inventory if they were exactly alike. I think Google does not like things to be exactly the same.

Anyway hope this is the information you wanted.

If we could just cross reference the categories on any single item, it would help a lot with some of these issues. Moonlight, wouldn't it help if you could assign more than one local category to an item? It would certainly help customers find what they are looking for in a store with lots of items.

May I just say.... I LOVE BISI!!! This is a seller's dream come true.

I've updated the sell similar function to include local and global categories.

Thank you Tomas. That will help a lot.

I have a whole stack of same state postcards to list and I will only need to change the title, desciption and photo on each one.

Hey, Postcards - nice to see ya! Ain't this fun?

Okay - back to the subject at hand - I just tried this out, and it worked very, very nicely, so I thank you for the help, Tomas - it really did speed things up!

At the risk of getting shot at sunrise here, it would also be great if we could have the GOOGLE information repeat, and also the BISI Track inventory switched to ON all the time. That would speed things up even more. I can't speak for everyone, but I'm guessing that most people are having inventory tracked by BISI simply because nobody wants to get into an out-of-stock situation and sell something to someone and get them mad when you don't have it and can't get it any more.

Just some thoughts - I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Sheryl
