Cubs VS Rays ? ?
Angels VS Phillies ? ?
Can the Cubs actually end the suffering?

I believe that we can say that the Angels will make the playoffs.
Twins / White Sox ? ? ? ?
Rays / Red Sox ? ? ? ?
Three of these four should make the playoffs.
Chicago has a little tougher
schedule, than the Twins. (IMO)
Diamondback / Dodgers / Rockies ? ? ? ?
Brewers / Cubs ? ? ? ?
Mets / Phillies ? ? ? ?
The Cubs should be in, but we are talking about the Cubs.
I would give the edge in the East to the Phillies.
The west ? Anyone have a three sided coin ?
Oddly enough, I believe it depends on which Cardinals
team shows up in September. With 7 games against
the Diamondbacks, they will have some say as to
who makes the playoffs in the west.
Sorry Gayla, Diamondbacks get the edge.
I will be hoping that other Cardinals team shows up,
and puts the Dodgers in.
Wild card is the Brewers to lose.

As for the Cardinals?
If you would have told me in April, that they
would have 74 wins on September 1st, I would
have said that they should be in the hunt for
the playoffs.

A week and a half later:
The American League looks pretty much the same.
The National league gets a little more interesting.
In September, the Cubs record is 3 wins and 6 losses,
the Brewers have 3 wins and 8 losses, and the
Astros have 9 wins and 1 loss and are now in the wild card picture.
The Astros have a fairly light schedule for the rest of the year.
As for the National league West, I believe we can scratch the
Rockies from the playoff hopefuls list.
The Dodgers are looking good. 8 wins and 1 loss in September,
while the Diamondbacks have 2 wins and 7 losses.

8 days left.
American League:
Angels and Rays in.
Boston is almost assured the Wild Card.
Chicago is still holding on, but the Twins
play their final 6 games at home (49 and 26 record).
National League:
Cubs are in.
Astros got blown away.
Dodgers/Diamond Backs
Dodgers win the division by 2 games.
Mets/Phillies Phillies win the Division,
Lets have a playoff between the Mets and
the Brewers for the Wild Card.
Anyone else want to guess the World Series Teams?
Gayla might be right.

World Series begins tonight.
I hate to mention this, but the two teams in the series
are in the original post on August 23rd.
How did I do that?
Of course I would have thought that at least one of the
other two teams would have been playing still.
Anyway, I will be rooting for the Rays.
I will not be disappointed if the Phillies win.
Rays in 6.

Oh well.
Now you know why I don't bet on sports.
Phillies up 3 games to 1.
