A lot of my business is wholesale orders. Wouldn't it be nice to have a way to create a coupon code for us to provide to our wholesale customers, so they can purchase directly from our site and be discounted a certain % and also have the option for us to not charge sales tax. Otherwords, a coupon that give a customer a % off AND tax free.

Just a thought, would anyone else like this feature?

If you are shipping to a state other than one where you have a physical presence, you don't have to charge sales tax anyway - but you probably knew that.

I'm not sure how many people are using BISI for wholesale purposes. I'm guessing not many. I think it would almost be easier to have a separate wholesale site, but if that's not practical, I suppose you could always tell your customers to 0 out the sales tax on their PayPal payment (if they can? Not sure on that...) or else issue them a refund in that amount after they pay. Not as elegant as having a wholesale buyer option, but I think you're going to have to come up with a creative workaround for that.

In the coupon section can't you just create a wholesale coupon for your customers?  I have one for free shipping on orders over 100.00.

That would work for shipping but it would still charge tax if the customer was in your home state.

Thats right, I did not think of that. Well I hope they make a way to wholesale orders.  I would also like to offer that to my customers.

Sorry it took me so long to respond...

I send postcards to children's brick and mortar boutiques and offer wholesale, but only the Ruby's Closet brand. This has been a great way to sell my items wholesale.

I am glad I am not the only one that likes this idea. I just wish you could set one coupon to have no sales tax and also a percent off.

I think it would be a great feature especially, for soome of us who hand craft our items. Like people who make jewelry, textiles, etc...
