Hi everyone,

I am looking for a site to open 3 stores.  I have it narrowed down to here (my favorite) and one other.

BISI has so many benefits above the other I couldn't even name them all.

But, I keep seeing people having problems with items getting uploaded to Google base.  Just how wide-spread is that problem?

It makes no sense to list anything if it isn't going to get seen.  So, that is a major concern and the only thing standing in my way at this point.

This isn't a site-wide issue. There are many reasons why items are not submitted to Google. This includes improper/duplicate attributes, invalid Google logins, content violations, etc. These issues must be handled on an individual ticket basis and can not be generalized into a single solution.

The main reason I posted was because I was checking out some other stores to see how they were faring google wise.  One record store (I also sell records) did not have three records show up at all but the 4th one I checked was at the top of the list).  I also checked a craft item and it did not show up on google.  I admit I stopped there and didn't dig further.  I then came to the board to see if there was any postings about the problem or if people didn't even know their items were not showing up in Google products.  I couldn't see any reason why the other items wouldn't show up.

Now, Before I go further can someone explain what Tomas meant by:  duplicate attributes?

Mine are pretty much the same for all similar products.  Is that going to cause problems?

Buyitsellit submits data to Google that is already provided such as price, quantity, title, description, etc. If an attribute is added twice, Google will not allow it to be submitted.

You mean exact attributes including price, title, etc?  As in a totally duplicated listing?

Right?

I do love the new BISI look and the ease of listing  You have done a fantastic job here in a very short time.

One last question...What about the items that are expiring and not getting relisted into Google?

I thought items stayed in google until sold.

Does BISI automatically send them back up periodically?  Or do we have to watch that?

Google expires items every 31 days. We'll resubmit the items once they expire, generally within the following 2 days.

Remember, Treasures, Google base is just a perk for us. That other record place may have bought google adwords (which are supposed to improve your showing up in searches).......

Google is not a perk!  It is a huge part of successful online selling.  If I need to do more to increase my visibility I am willing to do so.  I have been dealing with Google issues on another site and without Google, you might as well hang it up.  On the large site you are referring to, you have the shoppers browsing constantly and I never even worry about google for those items.  The small sites that are growing and don't have the traffic flow it is essential that our items are visible.  Google Base is new to me...so I know I am going to be working on improving my attributes and such.
