We have received a lot of feedback that members would like to customize the layout and HTML of their store. Over the last week or so, we have been working on a new method for customizing your store. This new templating method is very exciting and it really sets BuyItSellIt apart from other cart providers and it can really set your store apart from the competition!
With all upgraded accounts (starting at $4.95/mo), we will allow you to upload your own HTML for your store template and offer 5mb of hosting for associated files (css, gif, jpg, png, js, html).
Here is a fictitious example store I have been working on that uses the new templating method. As you will notice, the flexibility of design is endless.

This store is powered by the same BuyItSellIt you are already on. By using a simple language to reference objects and variables defined by BuyItSellIt, you can easily integrate your store inventory, images, cart and other assets of your BuyItSellIt store.

We will be working on the documentation and support files for creating custom templates over the next week. Once this is completed, this option will be available for all upgraded accounts.

| I think it looks wonderful. Only problem is I don't have an upgraded account at the moment so it won't be available to me not to mention I don't know the ease of using it so I won't speculate. I would like to see a few more sales before I decide to upgrade my account. What are BuyitSellit's strategies for making the site more known to consumers? I am attempting to market my site myself but would also like to know if BuyitSellit is doing any. Ashleigh

| Tomas, I'm sorry!! I didn't know if we could reply to a pinned thread, I guess I got it mixed up with "announcements". I LOVE what you're doing with the customizing options! I can't wait to be able to make my site different than the rest & more attractive. Thank you so much for offering this!

| Thats great Tomas as I think you continue on as your doing and dont bother with some of us. I upgraded my account for only $5 a month as how cheap can one get about having such a awesome program that changes for the better all the time. I think some day you can advertise this as some other readers mentioned so we can get more attention but honestly I think people should buy a domain and advertise themselves too. I quit my online site and am moving here because I paid alot of money for a program that was complicated and didnt update often. I love the flexibility you are giving us and I thank you for that. Keep up the great job.

No, please, no advertising! At least, not advertising BISI as a shopping venue. These are standalone stores, we're on our own!
As for the topic, I think more customization options are great, of course, but it's difficult to say much about until I can dig in and try it out. But the more options the better!

| Tomas, having the option to make our stores different is a great thing for some. As for myself, I am so very happy that you have designed a clean, simple way for us who are tech challenged to have our stores. I actually like the way my store looks, and may not change much about it, but I do like having the option open.
