Thank you so much for th advice! I have only been here 2 weeks.

Another question: Can a buyer use more than one code at checkout? I have been sending out 10% off coupons to other site buyers to get them to my site, but then I offer free shipping on my website, could they use both of those codes?

I don't think that's possible, but you could try a test order and see if your checkout will let you enter a second coupon after the first has been applied. .... and let us know what you find out!

Ok, only one coupon allowed! I tried it both in google and paypal!

So I now need to figure out how to handle this. I guess just charge shipping and mail coupons for free shipping for repeat purchases.

I am just curious how others handle this? Do you send coupons regularly? Do you offer free shipping all the time?

Sorry for all the questions, just need to figure this out before I get more inventory on!

I have free shipping on orders over $10.00 and I provide a code. I cap my shipping at $2.50 but they wiill have to contact me for an invoice. You could always give them 2 codes and offer 10% OR free shipping. Whichever code they use is their discount.

Barbara - someone in one of the posts awhile ago suggested that in the store title spot put any discount codes so that will show up on all the pages. Your store name could go along with it - you would just have to create it in a different program and then upload it....

To elaborate - if you use Mircosoft Word or Powerpoint, or even Paint - you can take whatever image you want to use for your "store logo" and then add text above it, below it, aside it, whatever.... you dont even need a "graphic" at all... it could all be text, or text within a box, etc.

Then, select all the elements and right click and select "save as picture" where you can make it a jpg. If you look at my stores, thats how I did my header. Im already ready to change it - but I will just add a line of text there with any coupon code, etc. Once you have the image, its very easy to edit it a bit, save as, then upload it again.

My store header is not great - but its an example showing a bunch of elements all saved together as a photo. I use powerpoint. Paint is much much much less forgiving - you cant really move things once you add them. Im sure there are better programs out there too! Bottom line - text can be saved as an image - and thus uploaded into that "store header" or "store logo" spot, and then changed out as often as you like.

(btw, I do have the "upgraded" store, and I am using the custom templates - I only did a bit of tweaking, but just wanted people to realize that was necisary to get the other changes I have)
