Hello Everyone. I am setting up my store and have a few questions that I am hoping you can help me with.

1. In the Settings: Regions and Taxes page, I noticed that you can only sell to the countries that you setup (to enable the countries in the drop down list during checkout). Is there a way to add all of the countries as once, or do you have to select them one by one?

2. I am only selling digital items, so I really have no need for the buyer's physical address. Is there a way to change the address from being a required field during checkout? I can understand buyers of digital items being annoyed having to fill out a physical address or having privacy concerns giving a mailing address.

3. I find very little information on the site about how a digital sale works. I understand that you upload the file when you create the item, and that there is a 2gb total storage limit, but how long is the link to the file active for the buyer? Does each buyer get a unique link that expires? Or is it a static link that they can pass along to all of their buddies (I hope not)?

I think that's it for now. Thank you in advance for your help. Reading and searching through the board has already helped me tremendously as I have been working through getting this site up and going.

So it seems no one on the boards knows the answers. Tomas, now that you are back from ebay live, do you think you could help me out? Thanks.

1. Each country must be individually added.

2. There is no way to eliminate the requirement of shipping/billing addresses during checkout

3. Once an item is ordered, a secondary email is generated that includes a unique URL to download the digital file. The unique URL is limited to 5 downloads.

I am currently re-working the digital file upload form that will accept much larger files and much faster upload speeds. This should be completed this week.

Thanks for the answers, Tomas!

So, the digital upload feature has been down for 9 days and counting. Can you keep us updated on the progress? Perhaps with a post in the Outage Notifications forum?

Thanks.

Tomas,

Did you fix the upload issue? I have a ticket open from May with no resolution.

I hope that BISI is not charging the customers that upgraded to the Digital Pro package since it is not working.

Any word on when this issue will be a priority?

Filmstop -

No - the file size issue is still not fixed, max. file size of 15 MB is still too small for many digital sellers, including us. Yes we were charged for the digital delivery system that didn't work. We've had to cancel our upgraded account until this is fixed.

Digital sellers should also note that there doesn't seem to be any way to customize the digital delivery email, only the order confirmation email. From many years of experience, I can tell you that the following email will most certainly generate a LOT of support requests from inexperienced digital buyers and computer users. Here is a copy of what your customer will receive:

Thank you for purchasing from 'your company name here'!

Use the link(s) below to download your items. You can download each item up to 5 times.
Please ensure the entire URL is copied to your web browser.
