| YEA!! first- NO RAIN this morning. SE Minnesota and NE Iowa have been blasted with rain, hail and tornados the past 2 weeks. You have seen it all over the news. I can say here in Rochester the rain has been about 6 or 7 inches over the past 2 weeks. The most in one day was 3 inches, so even though the river is up and the garden is a mud hole there is no flooding like it is 20 miles south of here. I worked at one of the antique malls yester day and a couple was in trying to figure out how they were going to get from her to Cedar Falls IA for a family reunion. Cedar Falls is under water at the moment so I don't think they made it. They actually live in St. Louis and were not sure they could even get home at this point due to flooding east and south of here. My heart goes out to every one that has to deal with the weather damage. Its a horrible feeling when you have no control over what happens to your life. Now for the second news, I have had the second sale in my store. Not big, but still a sale. The sun is shining and I would walk to work at the other Antique Mall today, but it is Friday the 13th, it would be my luck and be raining when the day was done so I am going to drive. If it stays nice at the end of the day I will take the dogs on a long walk this evening. Have a good day, those east of SE Minnesota, I hope you make it through this weather that is headed your way. | Pamtiques here, we actually had a beautiful day Friday, no rain here in Rochester, it was breezy so it has dried out a bit, I might even be able to mow today. Should get out and pull weeds. To make the day even better, I had another sale here at BISI.. Things are starting to roll. Even the brick and mortar antique malls have been good for sales this month so far. We here in the too dry areas are watching your flooding with great sadness for you... it appears as if some have lost not only their homes, but also their livelihoods. So sad. May you recover from this even stronger than before it.
