 Hi!

I'm new here and still getting my store stocked. (sigh)

I recently had a number of photos stolen from my "other" store even though I use a watermark and add colored borders etc. I just found a photo of mine on Amazon.com!!! ARGGGGH!

I came across this website www.isdntek.com/noclick.htm. It's free download and they offer a clear .gif over your photos. So if anyone right-clicks and saves the picture, they are saving the clear .gif only, not the actual photo. pretty cool huh?

I'm trying to figure out how to add it here to BISI or Inkfrog. I'm not that tec savy. .  Has anyone else used this or something like it?  Any guidance would be most appreciated!

I think it would be a great addition to the newest version of BISI.

Thanks for listening,

Cheryl      http://afamilyplace.mybisi.com/

Hi Cheryl!

I've run across photos with the "blank" over them. Try as you might, just remember - someone with a little knowledge can still take your images. Simply hit "print screen" on your keyboard, open you image editting software (in my case, Photoshop), open a new file, and edit-->paste.

Thankfully, not many know this trick. I'm just an uber-geek (and a graphic artist = print screen is my friend).

Yes, images on the internet are hard to protect. A person can also view your source and pull up the image from it's location rather than viewing it in your website. You might consider watermarking your images in such a way that they are useless to anyone else but you.

There is a javascript script offering anti-rightclicking. So they can't right click Save Image as, or right click properties, and cant use the source. I'll post back when I find this script. and ill provide a download link to it.

Agreed on the watermark. I have my Baxter's Bazaar logo across all the new item photos going up. You have to batch watermark all of your photos.

I have never tried this but have heard of it being done. Send the person using your pictures and invoice for their use of copyrighted material. Probably never get any money but they might get the point.

Watermarks are good to but won't stop some of the a**holes out there.

Even if you do watermark them....... anyone with skill in photoshop can edit it out.

I'v edited out a few watermarks in the past, takes some time but still able to be done.
