When I first came to the site I was looking as a buyer would and must say I fustrated with in a short time.

I looked at a item by country horse, which took me to her store item.. but on that page I looked for a link that is on many other auction pages: View sellers other items. There was none. I had no clue how to see what else she had to sell.

Then when I finally started hitting tabs I found it, but when done, I had to close out extra windows to even get back to the main page to search for another item, after I closed the main back window and had to come to the site again.

Do we risk buyers closing out the wrong window and not returning?

Each page needs to stay attached to the main site so theres no extra open windows for a buyer to have to deal with and the top bar to get you back to the main page needs to be on every page as well as a serch for a store item and a search for a overall auction item.

Now as a seller:

I sell one of's in different sizes, and this is not done easily on this site.

I noticed another t-shirt seller who also does one of's and has stopped listing after 2 items. Its hard, confusing and very time consuming.

From the store manager page, theres move to a new catagory, add new product, reset filter. There needs to be a simple way to :sell similar item

Place it under or next to each item etc or something, the way it is now, it will take for ever to get things listed. With out having to open a item and copy (sell similar)

When you sell similar.. everything in that auction listing should automatically be in the new listing and you edit what you need to and done. As it is now, its not.

Home page should be the main auction page. So buyers immeaditly see items.

The log in page: can we set that up to remember you upon log in? Like it is for the community.

Theres many things as a buyer and sell I like and dont like but I do see potential for this site and I will keep struggling to list.

Thank you for your suggestions.

One thing to remember is that buyitsellit is not a marketplace nor is it intended to drive buyers here. We are focusing on delivering a stand-alone eCommerce solution. There are no auctions on BISI. Each site is it's own unique store-front.

I sell mostly OOAK too and the only solution I've found for this, whether ebay store, my other website or here is to add a sizing subcategory to each root category.

Let your buyers see what sizes you have up front.

And like Tomas said this isn't an auction venue like ebay. You need to think more like a website shopper. One thing that could be useful, and maybe Tomas will consider in the future, are "Upselling Links" at the bottom of a listing. Where you could choose other products to showcase.

I have no problem thinking like a web shopper where everything is a instant purchase, but all stores being kept attached would be a asset since the buyer/shoppers are use to hitting the back button or clicking on another persons items. This cant be done with each store/item popping up in its own window, leaving it to the shopper to figure out what to do.

I would hope if they cant find it from me, they can click back from my pages and buy from another store with out having to deal with any extra windows.

I have to agree if you go to WalMart.com you can't click back to Kmart.com and the principal here is the same. We are all independent stores, Not saying that we don't try to help each other out. That's not to say that I couldn't partner up with someone and put a link to their store on my page or listings saying if you can't find it here check here.

That's a great idea Allen. Exchanging quality links with other sellers is good for SEO.

I've read recently that search engines don't value very much a link that is a reciprocal link and that they can tell if it is. Do you know if that's true?
