I'm starting my first full day of adding inventory. I set up the basic format last night, still need a logo (anyone do logo's on the side?), I have my spreadsheet set up for the first test load. I have over 10,000 items I want to add this week. A lot of that will depend on if the bulk upload works and how much time it will take me to work through any errors. My test load will be 5 items. IF that bulk load does work, this BISI store will be my biggest store, bigger than my website and ebay store. In each of those sites I have to load the images one at a time.
So, I am really looking forward to getting this site set up this week and running.
Site looks good, good forum and full of helpful people.

Welcome to BISI Steve! I don't know much about doing logos, but I had a lot of fun doing the simple one I use for my store. I got it at http://cooltext.com I am a real dummy about puter stuff, so I really impressed myself.

| Hi, I was happy to hear your comment. Are you still happy? Do you happen to know if you need a business account upgrade to use a previously designed template? It says that it is included with free store but there doesn't seem to be any other way to do it. Thanks much for anything you can tell me! Sincerely, Terry

| Looks like no new folks have posted to this thread in a few days, so thought I'd do just that, and bring it up. Yes, I'm new, and have been working for the past 24 hours on setting my store up and getting a few items in. It's a slow process, but I hope it will pay off. Came over from Ebay, but had only been selling there for a little over a month before all you know what broke loose, which caused me to back off and reassess the whole idea of ecommerce. But, since I have this 'stuff' and need to recoup the investment, finally decided to park it here for a while. Here's a really basic (and probably rather subjective) question for those already here - I have my store 'off line' and plan to take it on-line when I have sufficient inventory so that it doesn't look too sparse. I'm thinking at least 25 tiems. Any opinions on how many different items I should have? Is 25 too few? I AM SO SLOW at it!!! http://cruiseready.mybisi.com/

| And here's more questions: I see from reading, that you don't get to submit to google base (if that's correct) untilyou ohave at least 20 items. Should you do this the minute you hit that 20 mark? Then submit again when you get another 20? Or wait until you have a really good batch in? Secondly - If one were to plan to buy google ad words, what is the timing on that? Do they take a while to take effect? And, if so, would you try buying them at the earliest opportunity, maybe even before you have all the inventory to be associated with those words listed? Or, would that return errors?

| Hi Cruise, and welcome to BISI...gee, I didn't think that I had to have 20 items up before we could submit. Anyway, you don't have to submit them yourself, as it is done "automagically", by BISI. Now I could be wrong, as I am not the smartest when it comes to Puter stuff. You could find out by submitting something, going straight to GoogleBase and seeing if your listing is there. I think that is fun to do anyway, and they do show up immediately. I wouldn't worry about listing in batches, but maybe better to not add categories until you have something in them, as it will show a bare copboard. I think I sold something in about 3 days after starting a store, and I doubt if I had 20 items up. Good Luck!

Good evening all. I posted to the other new folks thread earlier today and just now found this one.
I'm wanting to know where to find more info on BISI hosting a .com for me. Is there another thread here that might possibly answer some of my questions without me being Pete & repete?

| Thank you for your answer, Ginger... Hi to GayNell from a fellow newbie. Thank you for asking that - I'll be watching for the answer, too.
