| Hi, I just sold an item that I had disabled a couple days ago. Fortunately I still have it available, but curious how it happened. Maybe the purchaser had the item bookmarked already and came back to the page that way?

Hi! I had the same thing happen to me. Here is what Tomas told me:
Products are still visible from Google Product search if the item is 'disabled'. This is per Googles Rules, the item must be available if it is posted on Google Base, Otherwise, you would need to delete the product entirely to remove it from Google.
hope this helps.

| Does that mean that this website essentially doesn't have a vacation setting?

You can take your store offline by going to Store Admin>>Account>>Store Status at the bottom of the page. Here is what Tomas told me about store being offline.
If your store is on hold, the checkout buttons are all disabled. So no products can be purchased.
hope this helps.

Okay thanks! Edited to add that a good work around might be to change the quantity to zero if you want to put an item on hold?
