I am totally new to offering a Digital item. Im wanting to know what the process is for a customer to purchase a digital item (in this case an ebook - it whatever format I need it to be in).

I will assume customer reads about the item on a product page - same as in my "tangible item" stores. Then what?

Add to cart, check out, pay - all the same?

Then what? How does the item then get to him/her?

ALSO - can I offer digital and non-digital items in a store which I upgrade to the 1st digital level store?

THANK YOU.

If someone HAS a store here with digital delivery - I would LOVE to try it. Perhaps I could buy something and you could refund it so that I can try it out? (or, maybe I will see something I want to truly purchase)

Thank you!
Cindy

Oh do tell (even a PM) what you are digitally delivering!!! I wanna know!!!

As for how it works, customer adds to cart, checks out, pays, then gets an email with the link to download the item.

Now, you have to have the upgraded plan for that. If you want your own domain & custom templates (or just one of those 2) you will want the $14.95 a month plan.

When you create your items, you will have a place to upload the item for sale.

It truly is an automated system.

Oh - very good to know! I didnt know I needed the 15$ level. Makes sence though - 2 upgrades!

Oh, whats 5$ more a month, huh?

I do see that other people, though, are having someone pay through paypal and then.... Im not sure what happens after that. Perhaps they then have to email them the file.

For 5$, it seems worth it being the higher level of professionalism to have it be automatic. (Im not expecting so many sales that doing manual emails would be an issue!

Then again - Ive heard that some use the manual email process as a way to also up sell services and such. (which would apply for what I'm doing)

Hmmmmmm

OK - I added my Writing Titles for eBay's Best Match Sort to my new store - 522 Consulting. (Never mind the random My Little Pony's - they will be moving elsewhere soon) Store needs LOTS OF WORK - but it will show you what Ive got. AND, let you buy it if you like - at a special pre-release price!
