I get so baffled about what I need to do to back up my listings but really need to understand & do this before I lose more listings. In past month I had a site crash & lost hundreds of listings so I need to do this.

Generally when I read about backing up, talk starts about spreadsheets & all that good stuff that is way beyond me. Not for not trying, I've spent weeks trying to understand & make a spreadsheet & got nowhere. Help! Am I the only person who doesn't understand all this good stuff?

Can we keep it simple? Small words, LOL Like I can insert a CD & burn it, that's about the extent of my computer know how!

The only way to back up through bisi is to export all of your items as a bulk edit. Save that file safely somewhere. If you should ever need to restore to bisi (I doubt that we will ever need to but better safe than sorry) you will use that file. If you don't know how to, at least you'll have the info and you can pay someone else to do the technical for you.

I can't help you but I wanted to let you know I feel your pain and frustration with all this stuff.  You're not alone!

Ah Gayla, there lies the problem. You say "export all of your items as a bulk edit" & I have no idea how to do that. My immediate question is "export to where?" as a "bulk edit" (what is that?). Told you I was kindergarten level computereze. Not kidding.

Thanks for the compliment on my ID. I often wonder as I type it for the godzillion time, why I couldn't think of one with 5 letters or less, LOL Got is on a fluke. Years ago was sitting on my front porch trying to think up a good name for my new greedbay store & one of my kids said "Mom you're never going to get your store name if you just sit on the "frontporchdreaming".  Hey sounded good to me, LOL a store was born.

I agree with Gayla - just do that, save it to your computer, and then.... burn the file to a CD

----
BUT - It will ask you "do you want to open this file with excel?" If you have excel on your computer, and you click yes - TA DA - you will have a spreadsheet! Wee!!!!!!!
