Was thinking I'd like to have seperate categories for example Childrens Clothing, Womens Clothing, Mens Clothing instead of having just "Clothing" show up on my home page & then shoppers have to click on clothing to find childrens, womens, mens. Same with footwear.

Problem is can I do that now that I have so many listing active in those main categories? Was thinking I just make  new categories then move things to the new categories but wondered if I'll then be able to delete the original main category "Clothing" altogether? Hmmmmm

I believe you can delete any EMPTY category. Sounds like a good plan.

So I'm guessing I would need to set my new categories, then move each item to the new ones & delete each item from the old category, then delete the old category? Yikes, wish I'd thought of that sooner, LOL
