I'm trying to get my entire site to be new times roman italisized font on every page.

It works on some and not on others.  If you check the home page, half is ariel half is new times.

I keep trying to fix it, but it doesn't work.  The sizing doesnt work either.

Is this because i have a basic store, or is it just a bug??  I was not sure where to post this.

Hope someone can help.  The storefront looks funny in two different fonts.

ps. I thought I posted this last night, but it is no longer there.  Don't know what happend.  So if for some reason it comes up twice, sorry in advance.  ( or I could have just been half asleep because I was up late lol )

I had that happening too. Ive had it happen in my ebay listings sometimes too... so I think its something with the way the HTML works that sometimes some of the formatting gets "trapped".

What you could try is at the very bottom of the window where you type in the text, there is a tab with <> on it. This will show you the HTML version of your text.... (your text, plus the HTML formatting codes, which are usually/always in <>)

Anyway - in the middle of the paragraph which you intend to all be the same font - you will probably see < Font face ariel > (or something like that including the word font - or really - anything within < > ) Delete it!

Then click the first tab again to see if it looks right.

Hi Cindy!!  Thank you so much for mentioning this site. I love it.  It is pretty easy.  I just checked out your store and it looks great.  I definatly will shop around the holidays; my neighbors daughter LOVES horses, so I will get something from your place, how exciting!

Yeah, I've been having this font problem since day 1.  I'll give the above a try and hopefully it will work.

I'm still in the works of transfering everything from ebay over to this store.  I figure, why should i pay ebay, if this is free.  Plus I'll still be running auctions for my gently used items.

Thanks for all the imput!!

Nope it didn't work.  When I save everything it stays at new times roman italisized font size 3, but then when I view the store, it is something different.

I tried deleting the font in html, but it just made everything ariel.  Plus the font in html, said new times roman not ariel.  I don't know what else to do...

Any other suggestions??

Hi Jacki -

I just want to let you know that the editor does not work for me either.  When I first opened my store it worked beautifully - I could change font, font size, colors, everything.  Then Tomas changed to the new version of the store, and ever since then the editor will not work for me.  It all looks fine while I'm doing it, but for me too, it will not save.

Nobody, including Tomas, seems to know why.  I've decided to try to learn to live with it.  If someone has an answer, I'd sure love to hear it as well.

Jackie, I sent you an email at your verizon addy with some suggestions. HTML doesn't do well in these forums or in the pm system.

I have experienced this as well, especially when I cut/paste descriptions from ebay and other venue listings, and found this solution less time consuming than searching for the html codes. Open another word processing/page layout program. Cut/paste your text from your web page and format it (center, left, size, font, style, color, etc) in that program and paste back into the web page. I set up a style sheet in Quark Xpress and which makes the edit process go very fast.

Thank you so much Gayla, it worked!  is there some special code to insert?  Because I want to do it to all my listings as well.  Ugh, how time consuming
