Im planning on working with Jennifer to create a new look for my horse store.

Ive been tweeking it myself - and I know plenty of that work will end up over-written by my eventual "real" set up.

But - I don't even know what I WANT at this point. I'm also thinking I'm so used to ebay, that I'm having a hard time thinking of "another way" other than catagories down the left, listings in the middle, KWIM?

My main goal is for my store to NOT look "home grown". Any thoughts on what some sites have that makes them seem "real"?

There are plenty of companies out there that I have never heard of - but when I find their site, I get the impression they are a known company in their field. I do not want to over-exaggerate or anything, but also not sure how to get from here to there.

(by the way, I will likely remove the "Mom pack" logo on the side... I bascially add that back whenever I want to post to their group, since they require it be there... but I do feel its an indicator of "home made")

I like how you have it set up by sizes. You can have a photo of a girl wearing the shirt instead of just having the shirt there - maybe not for all of them. check out www.tictactogs.com for an example of a really nicely set up site. A few photos of horses (and their names) could be good too if you know any of them personally

Thanks for the ideas!

It occured to me the other day that most sites are NOT set up by size - except for the stores on ebay.

Im pretty sure I am going to keep it divided that way, since there are some items I have 10 of in one size .... and none in other sizes. So, I added the "search by keyword" and "shop by size" titles. I am thinking of making links to search results which would then show, "shirts", "dresses", etc.... but... I not sure I want that even. I like people to see everythign in the size - thinking they would then consider/buy something they were not looking for to start out.

I do see that most sites have photography besides the items. Im going to work on finding/adding that. I do have photos of horses which I took myself . I dont have any great photos of modeled clothing, but I can work on that!
