This should be a fun filled day with friends, family BBQ's and all. On this day a group of our friends, all Christian motorcycle riders left for a lengthy ride with a BBQ and fellowship to follow. We are now 1 friend short and several injured due to a head on collision with another rider who was pushed into the on coming traffic lane by a car.
I would also ask that everyone keep an eye out for those of us who do ride and for those who ride who are not so experienced. As gas prices go up people are looking for a looking for alternative transportation and motorcycles and scooters seem to be the thing. We have seen and have had more people we know involved in motorcycle accidents since the riding season began, my husband included. So please keep an eye out for those of us who do ride.
I ask that you please remember Danny's family and all those involved in your prayers as we are all gonna need them to get through this tragedy.

GayNell, I'm so sorry. Prayers are sent to you, your friends & their families. We lost a friend two months ago in a motorcycle accident, also.

Thank you all for your prayers as they are much needed. We have since found out that the driver of the other motorcycle crossed over into the lane of our rider, no one else caused the accident as we had previously been told. We've also been told by others in our group that the other riders had been driving very erratically as they had passed them on several occasions earlier in the morning.
The guys and gals in our riding group are part of a Christian motorcycle ministry and even with their strong faith, each and everyone of them are struggling with this loss. For those seasoned riders, there are those debating whether they will ride again anytime soon, my husband included (he didn't ride yesterday as his bike is dismantled and in the middle of a custom paint job).
